South Street Seaport
From South Street Seaport, Pier 17. This was a shot I took before Hurricane Sandy. The Pier had a mall that had a cool view from the 2nd or 3rd floor that over looked the Pier. They usually had a free concert on the weekends during the summer. That big blue square tent in the middle was where the bands would set up. After Sandy, the mall was demolished so this view doesn't exist at the Pier, but they still have free shows in the summer. I hope.

sktchyapp: Weekend Art Extravaganza! Turn someone on Sktchy into the hero
Weekend Art Extravaganza! Turn someone on Sktchy into the hero — super or anti — that you see lurking within, as Vin Ganapathy did above. It doesn’t have to be an existing character from pop culture. Extra points for inventing a new hero for these weird and wonderful times. Upload your submissions to Sktchy with the hashtag #WAXhero before midnight Sunday (EST) for Sktchy Pick consideration. As an added bonus, we will randomly select one participating artist to win a Limited Edition Batman Moleskin notebook, a Moleskine pencil set and a Moleskine tool belt, perfect for carrying your drawing supplies or perhaps a Batarang.
